Each of the participants resonated with the work in their own way.
Each of us found ourselves surprisingly moved and touched by what we saw and heard.
Surprising juxtapositions sparked immediate visceral reactions, some very intimate revelations and profound interpretations.
As we got more into the workshop activity, stories and ideas began to flow.
Even knowing what we were going into, as the workshop director, I found myself triggered by the installations. I reacted by speaking straight from my heart and found an amazing resonance within each group.
Each workshop contained an amazing group of people.
Somehow by sharing our diverse perspectives we all came to understand each other and recognize aspects of ourselves as well — on a very meaningful level.
I feel as though we all shared our pain, whether it be in that moment or in the past. We all connected/bonded.
Whether we shared our story or not we all took something from it that we needed.
Walking into this I was very closed off and sad/angry for how my life was going in the past week; but walking out of this I feel like I’m going to go home and do something productive rather than laying in bed.”
