Aim #1:

to introduce the fundamentals of Syncretic Art

I like because we draw, we do a mask and act.
We do different songs and we follow the rhythm.
In that class we don’t talk and we play.”

(Natalia R.)

“We said our names and created a movement with it. We also did sounds on circles, squares and different shapes. We also said the different things that are in earth. We dance, we talk about science, we play a game.” (Maria P.)

“Today instead of science we had art.
Our instructor is named Amanta Scott.
She is a Syncretic artist.
Syncretic means that they do different types of arts, such as drama, music, dance & others.”

(Krystal M.)

“I learned a lot of stuff today.
Amanta Scott came today.
She is a Syncretic Artist. That means she does multiple things at the same time.”
(Nicola L.)

“I liked about the workshop was that I didn’t know about Syncretic Art and now I know. It was fun performing and practicing for the show.” (Sue M.)

“The class Art Syncretic is very very fun.
The teacher is funny. My group is little.
I was in the Air group”
(Chrystal G.)

“Today we talked about Syncretic Art and we made noises with art and we talked about earth.”
(Sue N.)

“I like doing all of the art work because art is one of my favourite things to do. When I was doing fire sometimes I felt it and sometimes I didn’t.
But I liked everything anyways.”
(Yamel C.)

“I like to be Fire because you get to be free.
I felt very free. I pretended to be a very wild and graceful flame. I enjoyed this class because we don’t talk, we use motions and lots of sound. Amanta is a very creative teacher.
I had lots of fun.”
(Taneisha F.)

“What I learned today was movement and sounds about the pictures that we drew." (Mónica M.)
