Flow - a currently ongoing series of abstract encaustic wall sculptures integrating various metals: sterling silver, copper, and stainless steel.

Artist's Statement:

These works explore the dynamic flow of energy. The sterling-silver series features jewellery designed by Montreal jewellers Antonio and Annegret Serafino. Antonio, inspired by my encaustic and stainless-steel works, proposed I try something with pieces from their various collections. 


Working with such tiny objects poses an interesting challenge: to create meaningful non-decorative works that honour the essence of the jewellery and do not overpower it while simultaneously moving beyond.

It could be interesting to exhibit and/or sell the artworks in conjunction with the jewellery. Additional paintings are presently in progress.
